All competitors for the 2006 Canadian Bodybuilding Championships must qualify through their provincial championships to be eligible. Eligible competitors are as follows:
  • Any competitor that has won the overall title at their provincial championships receives a lifetime bye to compete at Nationals.
  • Any competitor that has won their weight class shall be eligible to compete in the next two, following CBBF National events.
  • Any competitor that has placed 2nd or 3rd in their weight class shall be eligible to compete in the next, following CBBF National event.
  • Any competitor who places in the top 5 within the aforementioned timeframe, at a CBBF event, shall be eligible to compete at the next two, following CBBF National events.
  • Any competitor who wins an overall title or weight class at a CBBF National event, receives a lifetime bye to compete at Nationals.
Qualifications may vary for provinces. Please check with your provincial president to confirm your eligibility.

Weight Classes For Men - 2006

Bantam Weight Up to and including 143 Lbs
Light Weight Up to and including 154 Lbs
Welter Weight Up to and including 165 Lbs
Light Middle Weight Up to and including 176 Lbs
Middle Weight Up to and including 187 Lbs
Light Heavy Weight Up to and including 198 Lbs
Heavy Weight Up to and including 220 Lbs
Super Heavy Weight Over 220 Lbs

Weight Classes For Women – 2006
Light Weight Up to and including 114.5 Lbs
Middle Weight Up to and including 125.5 Lbs
Heavy Weight Over 125.5 Lbs

Juniors:
Men and Women Under 21 years old as of September 15, 2006

Masters:
Men Over 40 years old as of September 15,2006
Women Over 35 years old as of September 15,2006

Grand Masters:

Men and Women Over 50 years old as of September 15, 2006

Open class Over all winners from 2006 Canadian Bodybuilding Championships (One man and one women) are eligible for an IFBB Pro Card.
